Wearing the tools of ignorance did nothing to soften Gary Carter’s blow.  He managed to hit 339 dingers throughout his 18 year career (20th all time, at the time of his induction).  Gary was a mainstay of the Chicago Champion dynasty and helped them to six IAL World Championships.  In 1978 Carter was traded to the Champions from the Davenport Fire in exchange for Greg Luzinski, Greg won the MVP, leading the Fire to a 1st place finish, and the Champions won the IAL Championship, a good deal for both teams.
