In 19 years pitching exclusively for the Hitmen, John Smoltz finished his career, 3rd with 247 wins, 3rd with 2873 strikeouts, 5th with 1181 walks, 4th with 3439 2/3 innings pitched, & 8th with 451 starts. From 1995-98 his record was 81-25. In 1997 Smoltz won the Cy Young Award going 24-5, 24 wins is 3rd most for a single season. His team needed a closer, so he moved to the bullpen in 2004, where he excelled with 37 saves & a sparkling 1.96 ERA, to go along with 7 wins out of the pen. John appeared in the postseason in 15 of 19 seasons, with the Hitmen finishing in 1st place 9 times, with 4 rings, and winning 100+ games 5 different seasons.
